The Damock Journey
From vision to impact, how we're transforming real estate in Nigeria
Damock was born from a simple observation: traditional real estate in Nigeria was too rigid, too expensive, and too exclusive. We saw talented professionals, diligent workers, and ambitious entrepreneurs who dreamed of land ownership but found themselves locked out by high upfront costs and inflexible payment terms.
Our founder, Lanre Damola, experienced this firsthand. While working in corporate Nigeria, he watched colleagues and friends struggle to secure their financial futures through land ownership. The system seemed designed to exclude rather than include.
"What if we could make land ownership accessible to everyone? What if we could break down the barriers and create flexible paths to property ownership?"
In 2018, we began with a different approach. We started with the belief that real estate shouldn't be an all-or-nothing proposition. We pioneered flexible payment plans, starting with whatever budget our clients could afford, and building from there.
The name "Damock" combines "Damola" (our founder) with "rock" symbolizing the solid foundation we provide. It represents our commitment to being the bedrock upon which our clients build their wealth.
